Handstripping is the removal of dead and dying hair from terrier and some gun dog breeds. Properly performed, handstripping is not painful for your dog and will improve its skin condition - it clears the hair follicles of sweat and hair secretions, promoting healthier skin and allowing brighter-coloured new hair to grow through. Handstripping will maintain the correct colour & condition of your dog's coat
